Halloween is an event I’ve missed out on for the past 3 years.  My wedding annivesary falls on the 29th and there’s always something that prevents me from particapting.  Halloween is my favorite time of year, so it makes me sad not being able to play my favorite game during this time of year.  Luckily this year, the stars have aligned to allow me to play some GW for halloween.  I was so excited, that me and the wife (Phedre) put together this tribute cake which I’ll enter into the Guild Wars Halloween Art Contest.  Wish us luck!

One year ago, The Great Resurgence of the mighty Destructions Minions Guild occured.  The founder and now former guild leader Laran started the surge with a call to arms.  Minions, both old and new, answered the call with much vigor and tenacity.  The ranks swelled and the flimsy Luxons could be heard fleeing in terror as our mighty forces grew stronger by the day.  Several alliances tried to recruit our supreme band of warriors but alas we created our own.

Sadly, the minions have once again dwindled.  Most have gone to fight in distant, glitchy lands full of new adventure but sorely lacking the challenges that were fought on the soil of Tyria.  Even our leader has stepped down to commit more time to the foriegn battles. For once, I’m glad Rurik isn’t around to see how depressing things have truely become.

Alas, one year later I’ve declared the SURGE a failure.  We tried, we fought mightly, but we did not win.
