Destructions Minions By-Laws
v1.02
Author: Diks / Laran

Special Note: DM is probably the most casual, yet hardcore Guild in all of Tyria.  Most of these rules are mocking other guilds that take the game too seriously.

  1. Code of Conduct
    1. Be nice to fellow guild members and help them out.
    2. Avoid PUGs (Pick Up Groups) at all costs. They will generally have a negative effect on your playing experience.
    3. Try not to flame nubs in towns/outpost too badly. DM should be a respected guild.
  2. Officership
    1. Duties
      1. Officers should logon at least once a week. Any officer who does not logon within a period of one week will be subject to demotion without notice. Exception can be made if prior notice is given to at least 1 other officer or to the guild leader.
      2. Officers should help fellow guild members over personal fortune and glory.
      3. Officership can be revoked at anytime if an officer is determined to be a failure.
    2. Becoming an Officer
      1. A candidate officer must first be nominated by either the guild leader or another officer.
      2. The candidate must complete the following scavenger hunt:
        1. Worn Belt
        2. Scorched Seed
        3. Gruesome Ribcage
        4. Feathered Caromi Scalp
        5. Glowing Heart
        6. Forest Minotaur Horn
        7. Gargantuan Jawbone
        8. Dredge Manifesto
        9. Topaz Crest
        10. Emboldened Carapace Shield
      3. The hunt is the minimum requirement. Other tasks may be assigned at the Guild Leader’s discretion based on the candidate’s worthiness.
    3. Losing your Officership
      1. The guild leader can revoke officership status or completely kick an officer from the guild for any reason without notice.  The guild leader has ultimate control above and beyond any other agreements.
      2. Any officer who fails to logon to Guild Wars for a period of 1 week or more is subject to demotion back to Guild member.
      3. Any two officers can make the decision to remove another officer. Again, the Guild Leader has the ultimate say in who is an officer.
      4. If three members wish to play PVP and you decline to play another video game (i.e. viva pinata), you can be demoted back to member for up to 24 hours to contemplate your loyalty to your fellow brothers-in-arms.
  3. Membership
    1. Basic Requirements
      1. Log on at least once a month
    2. Exceptional Requirements
      1. Participate in the Guild/Alliance
      2. Have a cheerful presence and respect Guild Wars
      3. Start gathering items for the scavenger hunt
      4. Help other Guild/Alliance Members
  1. Leaving the Guild

There are four methods to leave the guild.  Voluntary retirement, forcible retirement, quitting the guild, and being kicked from the guild.  The differences are outlined below.

    1. Voluntary Retirement
      1. A member or officer decided they want leave the guild or quit playing guild wars.
      2. Notice is normally given to an officer or the guild leader in the form of e-mail, IM, or voice communication.
      3. Any member who voluntarily leaves the guild can be reinstated by any officer at any time.
      4. Any officer who voluntarily leaves must complete the same steps required of a new officer if they wish to rejoin the guild.
    2. Forcible Retirement
      1. This is a rare case not to be confused with being kicked from the guild.  It is generally away that the guild can part on good terms with a member.
      2. If an officer or the Guild Leader feels that a member is causing themselves harm by continuing to play Guild Wars, they can be removed from the guild.  An example would a member who spends 22 hours a day playing the game and loses their job, wife, car, etc because of the game.  Another example would include someone who hates Guild Wars and openly states their hatred.
      3. A member who is forcibly retired can rejoin the guild if two officers or the guild leader determine them worthy of rejoining.
    1. Quitting
      1. Any member can quit without notice at any time.
      2. Quitters will require two officers AND the Guild Leaders permission to rejoin the guild.
      3. Quitters are rarely readmitted to the guild.
    1. Kicked
      1. On occasion, a member may be kicked for some of the following reasons.
        1. Failing to logon for more than 1 month.
        2. Abuse (verbal chat, voice chat, etc)
        3. eGOLD
      2. Kicked members can rejoin if two officers AND the guild leader agree.
